Escape to Haiti without even leaving town by taking part in Montreal’s version of the majestic Haitian Carnival, this coming February 22nd!
KANPE is presenting its second edition of Kanaval – a benefit evening bringing us together to celebrate the lively rhythms and artistic richness of Haiti, while helping KANPE to pursue its mission, as part of the Festival Montréal en Lumière.
By treating yourself to a fabulous soirée, or by generously offering this gift of an exceptional night at the Kanaval to those close to our hearts, we can come together and celebrate for a cause dear to us – bringing joy to those in Haiti by improving the lives of families and communities as they are continually empowered to rebuild and stand up through our support.
Taking place at the SAT, there will be performances by the rock-reggae group Boukman Eksperyans, the duo of Doody & Kami inspiring you to dance, the vibrant sounds of Poirier, as well as the electro-hip-hop-house music of Young Paris.
Also on the schedule for the evening, you will find Rara dancing, artists from the kompa scene, a Haitian mask exhibit, an auction of exclusive items, and the KANPE Market, a unique kiosque for donations and derivative products.
All profits from the evening will go to KANPE.
Treat yourself to some heat in February with friends and family while also greatly benefiting Haiti!
